Visions of Sugar Plums await you!

Stroll through the market entrance guarded by traditional nutcrackers, and shop at the nearly 100 huts filled with Christkindl treats and unique handmade
crafts including the authentic collectable prune figures, a tradition that dates back to the 14th century.

Some of the many Christkindl sights you will enjoy are the Mifflinburg 'larger-than-life' Tinsel Angel, glittering like gold (a 17th century legend), the 5 foot Prune Man, a children's holiday friends peek-through board, the life-size wooden nutcracker and the 8 foot Erzgebirge Miner and Angel Wife. Feel free to take photos with any or all of these attractions.

You will be amazed at the 8 foot tall glowing Christmas Tree roving down the streets and the 15 foot German Christmas Pyramid, the symbol of the Market. Also look for the Gingerbread man strolling through the Market as you enjoy the many sites and sounds. Santa Claus and the German St Nicholas visit with our guests, old and young alike, as they walk through the Market.

In Kinderwelt (Children's World) is the Elf School, where children can solve puzzles, meet Mrs. Claus and the Elves and receive a diploma. Inside Gingerbread House you will see the Gingerbread Family. They are busy preparing for the holiday season as the children decorate the Christmas tree and Mother Gingerbread makes Gingerbread Cookies. Next door is the Peek-A-Boo Doll House. Here you will find the Dolls and Teddy Bears having a tea party around the Christmas tree as they hang theri stockings and listen to their favorite Christmas songs. Also visit the Firliputzli Story House where children can enjoy the story of the little impish German Angel. The story tells how she sings her way out of all difficult situations. Purchase your very own Firliputzli Doll and story.

Lantern ParadeAlso for the children, the Children's Lantern Parade will be on Friday, December 9th. The parade forms at the UCC Church (417 Market St) at 5pm and along with Santa, departs and enters the Market at the main entrance at 4th and Market at 5:45pm.

Don't miss our Children's Breakfast with the Elves on Saturday, December 10th from 9am - 11am at the Presbyterian Church (507 Green St). For reservations, please call (570) 966-4725 no later than December 5th.

Christkindl PubOur adult guests will enjoy the Christkindl Pub, where you an warm up with a glass of Glühwein (Glow Wine) in a Christkindl Collector's Mug. Also available is a good German Beer. Enjoy one with your wurst. The Christkindl Pub is located next to the outdoor entertainment stage.

And for guests of All ages, don't miss the Live Outdoor Nativity Scene surrounded by a Village of Churches; and the open spring wagon Buggy Rides operating during most Market hours.

Don't forget to bring your holiday greeting cards! Make your holiday greetings unique. Have a special Christkindl cancellation stamp placed on your holiday greeting cards at the Souvenir Booth located near the center of the Market. This special pictorial cancellation stamp, designed each year by a local artist, is an Austrian Christmas tradition. It sends an extra special message with your holiday greetings.
